All students who have completed their 1L year may participate in the write-on competition. The write-on process is competitive by nature. Membership invitations for the academic school year will be extended to candidates with the best submissions.

- Complete a Bluebook Citation Worksheet
- Submit a Lawyering memo, written redacted brief, or other writing sample
- Complete a short Public Policy and Practice written assignment (Writing Associates only)
Why Become a Writing Associate?
- Earn two credits split between Fall and Spring Semesters
- Complete your long-paper required for graduation
- Write about a topic you are passionate about and potentially get published
Why Become an Editing Associate?
- Earn one credit to be used in either the Spring or Fall Semester
- Become an expert in Bluebook citations
- Gain experience in reading/reviewing scholarly articles
